You & I - A product of pre-determination or spontaneity?
Planets orbiting around the Sun. But only one is at the right distance from the sun to benefit from its heat, to allow moderate temperature on the surface, not too cold so that all is frozen, yet not too hot that all is vaporized. This planet is called Earth.
This planet which shelters the various life forms, is it a product of pre-determination or just a product of a random event.
How about you and I? Are we a product of a pre-determined incident? An unexplainable mysterious force which determined our existence. Or are we just products of complex spontaneous chemical reactions of non-living compounds?
If there really is a mysterious force out there which has determined everything, from the beginning until the end, then how would you feel? How would you feel when you know that our ending has already been pre-determined too?
Knowing our end will come. Knowing that the sun which warms us from the icy cold nights can also one day deprive us from the right to live on. What if the sun gives off a sudden burst of super solar flare which will destroy our ozone layer, the radiation so hot that it vaporizes anything and everything on the surface of the planet, radiation so strong that it penetrates a mile deep into the earth's crust, sterilizing the entire planet.
What will you do, when the day comes, when both you and I are pre-determined to die...

Greed & fear of loss
Going through the newspaper daily, reports on crime can never be something rare. Even in our daily lives, we are bound to see some people doing certain things to other unknowing victims.
Sometimes I wonder why there are so many evil doings around the world. But I guess Master Yoda explained it in one statement “Greed & fear of loss are the roots that lead to the tree of evil”.
Greed – the attitude of never being satisfied with what is available at hand. When we have money, we hope for more. When we get a job, we wish to be promoted to higher ranks. When we own a house, we hope to have a bigger one.
At the same time, when we have something, money, car, house, job, power and job, we fear of losing them. We are afraid of the day when we have no money, lose our power, etc.
Greed & the fear of losing something are what drive us into desperation, to turn our back on moral values and ethics. Greed for money leads people to steal and rob. Fear of losing power motivates people to backstab others at work.
Master Yoda once advised Anakin to learn to accept the reality of losing someone is something normal. But eventually Anakin was not able to overcome such fear (the fear of first losing his mother, and then his wife, Senator Amygdala). It was this fear which blinded him and leading him to think that by joining the dark side, he could wield the power to control and prevent his love ones’ death. Little did he know that he would be lost in the dark forever.
Once we walked the path of darkness, we can hardly turn back, it is a one way street.

The meaning of ‘Stupid’
Someone said ‘stupid’ is the act of doing something repeatedly but expecting different results every time it is done.
But the funny thing is this person is also the one which is asking something to be done repeatedly and expecting something new will come out of it.
Do you all see the problem? The problem is the person is too egotistic to see that the person is doing the so called mistakes which the person is happily saying others are doing.
Sometimes, it is weird how one can only see the mistakes of others and find chance to blame the rest. But unfortunately, it is almost impossible to realize one’s own fault.

Pelangi La La 好吃！！
今天到彩虹大厦去逛逛，没想到竟然会碰到一位歌星的签名会！其实没听过这歌星的名字，但看海报，她样子挺好看的。当她上场时，看来看去，其实海报比较好看啦！！哈哈。。
但是她的声音真的是很好听，唱歌的方式也很特别！这人就是La La或徐佳莹。你们可能会在想为何她的外号叫La La。。她在现场有解释说因为朋友们觉得她长得像只拉布拉多犬，所以简称La La咯！！哈哈。。。

Our Most Important Allies

In a world filled with competitiveness, many people are fighting hard among each other to clinch the top spot in their world. Much too often, they turn to their so called allies to achieve their goals.
The allies they often call ‘friends’ in public are far too often those whom they think will benefit them, i.e. these ‘friends’ will most probably have certain attributes which others don’t, maybe financially as in being very rich or maybe socially as in having a higher social status and authority.
Having the allies’ influence working in your way will definitely make your life much easier and achieving your goals much smoother than you, yourself working towards it.
Master Yoda once said “Far too often that we forget that our most important allies are not always the most powerful”. These so called allies which you have by your side are merely tools which you are trying to use to gain your goals. As much as you think you are using them, they maybe using you at the same time.
If troubles catch up to you, do you think these allies you have will be by your side supporting you? They are your allies because they are useful to you. So are you to them. When you are in trouble, hence no longer useful, do you think they will continue to be by your side?
True friendship is not one which is built on the basis of using others for one’s own benefits. Thus, only true friends will be by your side when all else comes crumbling down. So is all your important allies the ones who will benefit you?

Is the world ending?
Did you all notice that the world seems to be coming apart?
A major earthquake which destroyed Padang, Indonesia.
A tsunami which swept through the Samoa islands.
A downpour which sank the Manila.
All which happened few days apart.
Coincidence or is it nature showing us it's power?
Have we taken so much away from nature that it is telling us it can take whatever it wants back at anytime?
The Mayan calendar ends in 2012, so does that mean our world is coming to an end?
The Mayans were once a great civilization which the reason behind its disappearance is still a mystery. In fact, many of the old civilization still remains a mystery to all of us.
We never understood how the great pyramids were build, how giant Buddha statues were carved into giant mountain of rocks.
Funny... What if the world really will end in 2012? How will it end?
I really wonder.
Will an asteroid hit us? Can't be because the asteroid would be spotted by now.
Will there be a major shift in the plectonic plates causing devastating earthquakes around the world and giant tsunami sweeping everything in its path?
Will the sky turn dark and rain pour down endlessly sinking cities?
Will volcanic eruptions burn down every single thing in its path and the fumes and suffocating smokes choke everyone closeby to death?
How will the world end? I really wonder...

他们普通讲话很想要吵架，要打架似的。
真是吵死了！！
要好好儿睡一觉都不行。整晚被人吵醒。。哦天！！
普通的说话都这样了，你们可以想象他们真的吵起来的时候会是怎样的吗？
哈哈。。当然更恐怖咯。
咳。。今天要做什么？很像有好多东西得做咧。。

蝶仙
你们有玩过蝶仙吗？还是看过别人玩呢？
你们相信蝶仙这门玩艺儿吗？
刚才看部电视剧里的人玩这东西，让我想起了中学时候的Puan Lim突然在周会时警告大家不要玩这种东西。
过后才知道，原来有几个预备班的同学在学校里玩蝶仙，过后几个星期，他们都心神不宁。
最后还得在学校里拜拜，烧纸钱来解决问题。
几个手指点在碟子上，碟子就会动，动的原理在于什么，你们知道吗？是它自己动，还是有人在推？

A Trip to the Zoo
Last week I went to zoo for a race! ahaha... yea yea, quite fun!! run here and there to search for clues and answer questions... completing task before proceeding to the next station. Sounds like Amazing Race right?! yes it is!! haha... but smaller singapore style!
At first my team thought we were losing but eventually we won 2nd prize!! wooo.. really fun, not forgetting we have two members who are in their 40s yet running with us along the stations to solve the puzzles! hahaha...
Even at their age, they were sporting enough to mingle with us.... really fun!! haha... Love the zoo... the bad thing about the race is I didnt really get to see the zoo properly as we were all running here and there.. I wonder if anyone is willing to accompany me to the zoo again later this year.. hehe...
Poor thing the auntie felt unwell after all the running but she was ok after that! hahaha...
