Since young, whenever issues related to racism is brought up, the word racial tolerance always comes to mind. I believe racial tolerance is the wrong way to go. What we do is we tolerate other races, and as experience serves me right(even with my minimal experience), tolerance always runs out.
I believe the word we are looking for is racial acceptance. We accept each races for what they are. We accept that chinese have smaller eyes, indians have darker skin and malays don't eat pork. We accept that all 3 races were at the scene of independance, and that is our ancestors. The one who was there when Malaysia was created. We Accept.
I await the day where calling indians "blackie", calling chinese "mata sepet" and calling malays "tak makan babi" are deemed as general descriptions and not racist comments.
But I'm amaze that you have such a mentality which others may not.
Most people see differences as abnormal/wrong and would be despised and a topic of mockery.
I've been through it and still have been going through it, so, acceptance it's hard to achieve. But I do hope, as you wish, that the acceptance can be a reality.

Well said. Hopefully your wish comes true.
Acceptance is not an easy thing to see.
